Amy Motelet was born and raised in Ivanhoe, Minnesota (very close to the South Dakota border). She graduated Suma Cum Laude in 1992 from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree having majored in both Vocal Music Performance and K-12 Education.

She married her husband, Bob, in 1996 and they moved to the Fall Creek area in 1998. While she still admits to being a Twins and Gophers fan, she now also roots for the Brewers, Badgers and Packers.

Amy joined Steve Flaten's team in 1999 and achieved her General Securities Representative Series 7 in December 2009. Series 7 registration held through LPL Financial.
